How do you make it as easy as possible for people to join your church and grow in Christ? And how can we structure church to make their ‘pathway’ into church as easy as possible?
For example, someone might join your church and become a Christian, but then struggle to integrate well into church life. Or they might integrate well, but never learn how to serve. How can we help them make these transitions better? And grow in godliness as a result?
That’s what we’re looking at this year as churches. On Saturday 4 March, Pastors and Leadership Teams met with Greg Lee from Hunter Bible Church, Newcastle, to work on this question, and Pastors will meet three more times with Greg this year. The aim is that, by the end of the year, all of our churches will have made meaningful changes to how we help people move along the ‘pathway’ (which is really just another way of saying help them become more mature).
It was a great first session, so please pray that the next three will be just as good, and that God will work through them!
